[Dear Thandi Angeline Mhlongo,
I would like to extend our sincerest apologies for the distress caused to you because of the issues raised in your recent complaint about our perceived B-BBEE practices. We deeply regret any inconvenience or distress this situation may have caused you.
We take these matters very seriously and are committed to upholding the principles of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE). Upon receiving your complaint, we immediately initiated a thorough review of our practices and policies to ensure compliance with the B-BBEE Act.
We acknowledge that our inadvertent actions may be viewed to have fallen short of the standards expected of us, and we are accordingly in exercising extreme caution taking the following steps to address the issues:
- Internal Review and Training: We are conducting an internal review of our B-BBEE policies and procedures. Additionally, we are implementing comprehensive training programs for our staff to ensure full understanding and compliance with B-BBEE regulations.
- Corrective Measures: We are taking immediate corrective actions to rectify non-compliance identified during our review, if any. This includes revising our B-BBEE strategies and ensuring that all future practices without any doubt align with the Act’s requirements.
- Open Communication: We are committed to maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders. We encourage anyone with concerns or suggestions to reach out to us directly so that we can address them promptly and effectively.
We understand the importance of B-BBEE in promoting economic transformation and inclusivity in South Africa. We are dedicated to making meaningful contributions towards these goals and ensuring that our practices reflect our commitment to these principles.
